First, let me apologize for the limited blogging because of the lack of internet & cell service. It doesn’t matter how high tech your devices if they can’t connect to anything.
Second, let me tell you how proud I am of our kids! We’ve heard over & over from the CentriKid staff & the conference center staff how well behaved, respectful & friendly our kids are. Our chaperones have seen firsthand how much it means to have kids that understand rules, are willing to obey them, but at the same time have a ton of fun. FBCLiveOak kids have been a JOY to be with!
Kids enjoyed their 2nd day of tracks today. They’re learning so much, making so many new friends & having a great time. As usual they all think their team leader is the best or their track leader is the most fun. The staff here does such a great job of connecting with the kids & encouraging them. The cheernastics leader even let our girls give her a manicure during her free time. 🙂
Pastor David has been so energetic & has taught the kids with such excitement that the kids have really talked about his messages. It’s been great to see God working through all of it.
Thanks again for prayers. Here are some comments from the girls . . .
Alexis says "track time is awesome"

I’ve been trying to blog for an hour & cannot keep a signal long enough. So I’m sending this by cellphone just to let everyone know we had a GREAT 1st day. Everyone is excited about their tracks tomorrow. They all met their Bible study leaders tonight & we had a fun time together as a church group. I’ll try to blog in the morning from another building that has better internet. Thanks for praying for us today!
Thad was an awesome driver & got us here in perfect condition. All the beds are made & all the suitcases are unpacked & the kids are roaming the campus checking out the fun things to do. It’s hot here so we’re thankful for the pool & ice cream shop. Keep checking back for more photos.
Make sure you check the last minute details at http://fbcliveoakkids.org
Don’t forget there’s a special prayer time at the end of tonight’s 7pm church service for all the kids & chaperones.
Don’t be late tomorrow . . . bus leaves at 10am sharp!
Last Minute Details
1st > Sign up for automatic texts by sending the word fbckids to 386-259-1294 (especially if you want to receive alert texts at a different # than the one you gave when signing up your child for camp)
2nd > Remember: only 1 suitcase but they can bring their pillow on the bus and the small backpack they plan to use at camp (hint: they can slip their sheets in their pillowcase if they ran out of room)
3rd > ALL campers will be on the 1st floor YAY! so this is helpful info when considering which suitcase your child should take
4th > ALL campers will have to change into our FBC camp shirts before we arrive at CentriKid so if it matters, let them know the shirts are sapphire blue
Last > the bus will leave FBC at 10:00AM so don’t be late 🙂
Campers can only bring 1 (one) suitcase and they must be able to carry it all by himself. They do not have to bring a bag for the bus ride but if they do, it needs to be small enough to hold in their lap if necessary. Pillows can be brought on the bus.
Yes, you can definitely pack snacks in your child’s bag but remember that the luggage is going in a U-Haul along with 40 other pieces of luggage so pack them well. (i.e., inside a shoebox)
We are providing reusable water bottles for each camper this year so no need to pack one.
Your child will be receiving a t-shirt to wear the 1st day of camp and the last day of camp. (because I know the girls will ask . . . the 1st day shirt is sapphire & white and the last day’s shirt is red & gold.
OMC only happens 1x so they only need 1 OMC shirt.
